چکیده

Abstract According to the World Alzheimer Report 2015, 46 million people are living with dementia in world. The diagnosis of diseases helps doctors treating patients better. One signs is related white matter, grey matter and cerebrospinal fluid. Therefore, automatic segmentation three tissues brain imaging especially from magnetic resonance (MRI) plays an important role medical analysis. In this research, we proposed effective approach segment automatically these three-dimensional (3D) MRI. First, a deep learning model used sure unsure regions. region, another classify each pixel. experiments, adaptive U-net regions, Local Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) multiple inputs pixel only region. Our method was evaluated real image database, Internet Brain Segmentation Repository 18 persons (IBSR 18) (https://www.nitrc.org/projects/ibsr) compared state art methods being results very promising.

Gray Matter and White Matter Segmentation from MRI Brain Images Using Clustering Methods

Brain is the most complex and master organ of the human body. Quantitative analysis of anatomical brain tissues such as GM and WM is important for the clinical diagnosis and therapy of neurological diseases. Brain imaging is a widely used method by the doctors and clinicians for the representation of human brain. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a recently emerged method for brain imaging. A...

Determination of Gray Matter (GM) and White Matter (WM) Volume in Brain Magnetic Resonance Images (MRI)

In this paper we present a hybrid approach based on combining fuzzy clustering, seed region growing, and Jaccard similarity coefficient algorithms to measure gray (GM) and white matter tissue (WM) volumes from magnetic resonance images (MRIs). The proposed algorithm incorporates intensity and anatomic information for segmenting of MRIs into different tissue classes, especially GM and WM. It sta...

Regional gray matter, white matter, and cerebrospinal fluid distributions in schizophrenic patients, their siblings, and controls.

BACKGROUND Cortical gray matter volume reductions and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) volume increases are robust correlates of schizophrenia, but their sources have not been established conclusively. METHODS Structured diagnostic interviews and magnetic resonance imaging scans of the brain were obtained on 75 psychotic probands (63 with schizophrenia and 12 with schizoaffective disorder), ascertai...

Segmentation of Magnetic Resonance Brain Imaging Based on Graph Theory

Introduction: Segmentation of brain images especially from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an essential requirement in medical imaging since the tissues, edges, and boundaries between them are ambiguous and difficult to detect, due to the proximity of the brightness levels of the images. Material and Methods: In this paper, the graph-base...

A Novel Classification Method using Effective Neural Network and Quantitative Magnetization Transfer Imaging of Brain White Matter in Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis

Background: Quantitative Magnetization Transfer Imaging (QMTI) is often used to quantify the myelin content in multiple sclerosis (MS) lesions and normal appearing brain tissues. Also, automated classifiers such as artificial neural networks (ANNs) can significantly improve the identification and classification processes of MS clinical datasets. Objective: We classified patients with relapsing-r...
